Low back pain is one of the most common complaints from patients. But, the relief patients show on their faces when the pain improves or goes away, should be proof that chiropractic care works. But now, the mainstream media and medical community studies are taking notice.

New Spinal Manipulation for Low Back Pain Study

Recently several media outlets spread the help of chiropractic care can give to the masses. NPR and CNN  both reported on a Journal of the American Medical Association Study showing chiropractic helps those suffering from low back pain. The study found spinal manipulation relieves pain and improves function.

The CNN story also cited a recent recommendations by the American College of Physicians for treating low back pain, suggesting starting with noninvasive remedies like superficial heat, massage, acupuncture or spinal manipulation.

In light of the new guidelines around opioids and the overuse of NSAIDs, medical doctors are looking for new ways to help patients. Pain medications can cause gastritis, an upset stomach and a rise in blood pressure. Chiropractic care is natural and helpful way to avoid overusing pain medications.
