Skyline Chiropractic Celebrates 20 Years

Happy Anniversary Skyline Chiropractic! 

I can’t believe we are now in our 20th year as a chiropractic practice in the same location. We chose the Burnsville, MN location, because of the great parking and access to 35W.

On our first day, we had a folding table for a reception desk and were using portable adjusting tables. Oh, how times have changed!

Do you know what was happening in 1997?

Flip phones

On the day we opened the office on November 16, 2016, we had a blizzard. I spent four hours trying to get to an AT&T store on Hwy. 62. I needed help with the flip phones! 

Titanic

The line by Leonardo DiCaprio from the movie Titanic, “I’m the king of the world,” was one of the top quotes. Titanic also swept all the big awards, including the Oscars. 

Must See TV

We were all watching Seinfeld, Friends and E.R. It was the final season for a show about nothing could really keep our attention, and we watched it when it aired! What did you think of the finale? 

The People’s Princess

Princess Diana died in a car crash and 2.5 billion people watched her funeral on TV (not the internet). Elton John re-wrote “Candle in the Wind” for his friend, and it became the second best selling hit of all time!

Clippy

If you used a PC with the Windows operating system, you were seeing a lot of Clippy. He was an animated help that looked like a paper clip. Many found Clippy to be very annoying, so he eventually disappeared, only to make a small reappearance in Windows 10. 

Dial-up

Most people and businesses were still using dial-up to access the internet. Broadband and cable were options in some locations, but many did not see the advantage of paying for faster internet. In the Skyline Chiropractic office we were mostly using floppy discs. Oh, how times have changed! 

What you might not know, is Dr. Yearling and I have been practicing chiropractic care since 1987, so we are also celebrating 30 years of helping people. 

Community Support

Over the years, the practice has supported several community events, including Burnsville Fire Muster and  Kid’s Day America. For Kid’s Day, we offered chiropractic health information.

2017

We are very excited about the natural health help we offer to our many patients. We now have families that include six generations coming-in for check-ups and adjustments. Many of the older generations have been seeing us since 1987, and we would like to thank you for 20, make that 30, great years of chiropractic care!
